Hello my friends, so here it is, after an exhausting weekend of sheeting, painting, carrying and tweaking I give you my modest slice of the retail pie. Although not everything came together perfectly, ie my missing sign! It has none the less come together really well. However, there is still many more bits,bobs and of course furniture to come! Come Away With Me

Drift away with this gorgeous French inspired vintage hot air balloons chest of drawers. This adorable piece was patiently waiting to be brought into focus with some crisp white, dove grey and sweet vintage Italian paper inserts. The rustic combination of raw timber against the muted colour pallet creates an eclectic mix of French Provincial meets relaxed Industrial Chic. The wrought iron knobs playfully mimic the shapes like miniature balloons ready to take you away to on a whimsical ride. I adore this piece and can see it in either a children's bedroom or even in the living room of an eclectic home as a sideboard stacked with vintage books and frames.

Prue and Trude

Prue and Trude are a stunning pair of vintage Thonet chairs. Duck egg blue and teal trim add a new age vibrancy to an old classic. Toile need not be reserved for 18th century manor homes, use it with high contrast contemporary colours to bring it into vogue. Use Prue & Trude as a compliment to a miss matched dining setting or as feature chairs in a bedroom or even as bed side tables in a guest room.

Beautiful Billie

Billie’ is a beautifully upcycled 1950’s chest of drawers, and the first of my items for my ebay store Vintage Villa Interiors. My etsy store is a new direction for me, focusing on decorating and recycling vintage pieces. Upcycled furniture takes good quality, unique items and gives them a new lease of life. 'Billie' journey starts with gorgeous gender neutral Belle & Boo paper, featuring sweet detailed images of both little boys and little girls. The bold black frame is a contemporary contrast that brings ‘Billie’ into focus.

Beautiful Bedside Manner

This retro 70's styled night stand has great bones. The unique octagonal 'bun' feet are the highlight for me and have been  brought into focus with a lick of fresh blue. Silver, gold and soft blue paisley damask inserts add drama and detail. The result is old world glamour meets retro styling.

Come in and relax in this office sanctuary. This private therapy room blends vintage warmth with contemporary chic. Retro kiwi velvet  arm chairs entice you in and sit well against the geometric 'Kaufman' fabric throw cushions, covered lamp and office chairs. The timber Balinese mirror reflects light into a dark space. Clustered, eclectic images add interest  and a focal point.  A beautiful reclaimed mosaic side table is brought to life with a coat of paint and new vintage knobs. All the furniture in this space was preloved and restored.  Remember, money can't buy style and a little luxury need not cost the earth.

These classic 1950's dining chairs are instantly transformed by bold colour & pattern. Reupholstered in P Kaufman oil cloth fabric they are both function and fashion.

Kaufman oil cloth is easy care, wipe down fabric perfect for meal time mess. Now all thats left is to sand/paint or polish the timber.
