Vintage Villa Interiors is going to The Vintage Fair! The fair will taking place at the Queensland Museum on Saturday the 4th of August. Monochromatic Retro Drawers with John Rombola

This sorry excuse for a child's set of drawers was screaming out for a makeover and I knew just the paper to do it! Recently rediscovered by a new generation of art and design lovers, John Rombola's illustration's are described as rambunctious and spirited. His eccentric eclectic style create fun and interest. Depicted here are 'Apple' 'Pinapple and other 'Miss fruit' queens in their finery. Absolutely adorable and for the young or young at heart.

My humble little shop!

Hello my friends, so here it is, after an exhausting weekend of sheeting, painting, carrying and tweaking I give you my modest slice of the retail pie. Although not everything came together perfectly, ie my missing sign! It has none the less come together really well. However, there is still many more bits,bobs and of course furniture to come! Hello people, I am so sorry for my extended absence but I have been feverishly working away on stock piling pieces for my new store!  I am just about to open a little shop at the Woolloongabba Antiques Centre, shop 57 is mine!! Come Away With Me

Drift away with this gorgeous French inspired vintage hot air balloons chest of drawers. This adorable piece was patiently waiting to be brought into focus with some crisp white, dove grey and sweet vintage Italian paper inserts. The rustic combination of raw timber against the muted colour pallet creates an eclectic mix of French Provincial meets relaxed Industrial Chic. The wrought iron knobs playfully mimic the shapes like miniature balloons ready to take you away to on a whimsical ride. I adore this piece and can see it in either a children's bedroom or even in the living room of an eclectic home as a sideboard stacked with vintage books and frames.

Tropic Chic’

These retro bedsides in their original smoke and ash coloured veneer needed very little to bring them into focus. I loved their colour and they so beautifully complimented the vintage bamboo wallpaper they looked as though they were made for one another. The vibrant green bamboo freshens the pallet and adds interest. The painted gold legs and clear glass pulls add a glamorous twist moving this retro pair from retro drab to retro fab tropical chic! I LOVE these and have had to wrestle them from my sisters clutches! Such a statement piece and perfect for our gorgeous sunshine state!

This striking set of white bedside drawers are complimented with colour popping  vintage lattice wallpaper inserts. Adel and Evie are a fresh and contemporary take on a 70's classic. Prue and Trude

Prue and Trude are a stunning pair of vintage Thonet chairs. Duck egg blue and teal trim add a new age vibrancy to an old classic. Beautiful Billie

Billie’ is a beautifully upcycled 1950’s chest of drawers, and the first of my items for my ebay store Vintage Villa Interiors. My etsy store is a new direction for me, focusing on decorating and recycling vintage pieces. Upcycled furniture takes good quality, unique items and gives them a new lease of life. 'Billie' journey starts with gorgeous gender neutral Belle & Boo paper, featuring sweet detailed images of both little boys and little girls. The bold black frame is a contemporary contrast that brings ‘Billie’ into focus.
